The Push Hands drills shown in the first clip above hint at the inter-related nature of Tai Chi and two-person Push Hands practice. These drills precede more subtle training in sensing the fascia and other aspects of the structure inherent to the Tai Chi postures in both long forms. Remember: Tai Chi is a form of Kung Fu and as such, the Dalu - martial applications of the Tai Chi postures, is an essential part of overall Tai Chi training. NOTE: Push Hands training is offered as in-person training only. Request more info.
Qi Gong - Standing PosturesQi Gong clip: 1 min 56 sec.
Qi Gong standing postures build Qi (Chi) in the body. That Qi is then circulated throughout the body during the moving Tai Chi forms. This clip shows the first and most basic Qi Gong taught here. |
Push Hands - Tsui ShouPush Hands clip: 1 min 1 sec.
Tsui Shou, the two person "push hands" practice, directs and applies the Qi, as do the martial aspects of Tai Chi. |
Now continue on to Tai Chi preparation to ready yourself for the moving Tai Chi form.
